Hi, I’m Mariam and I’d love to be your academic rep this year!!🎉

Congratulations on making it through second year (woohoo)!! There were some close calls though, thinking we’d never survive the LP2 experimental planning exam (we survived but our KO cells didn’t 😔), and the heart attack we all got when that 20-page note limit was initially introduced (hello, font size 6). Point is, through all of these moments, the reps had our back, voicing our concerns to FEO.

This year I’d like to be that voice for you. But, why should you vote for me?

• I am an avid listener (as my friends will attest). Any thoughts, worries, ideas - don’t be shy, I’d love to hear them!!!
• ⁠I will have your back! If you need help, just ask and I will genuinely do anything I can to support you. I may not have been a rep before but I still spoke up about our concerns at town halls.
• ⁠I’d bring new support to help us through assessments, such as online Q&A sessions with past students, and setting up oral presentation ‘match-making’ to pair those interested for practice and feedback.

BMB is tough but together I’m sure we can end our degree on a high note :)
