Aisha Qadi
Hi everyone, I’m Aisha, a second-year PhD student at the Centre for Higher Education Research and Scholarship (CHERS). My research looks at governance in higher education, and in particular stakeholder voice: whose views get heard when universities make decisions, and how much weight student voice carries. I also did my MSc in Management at Imperial Business School.
I’ve been in representation roles throughout my time in higher education, including as a Vice President Education and trustee at Queen Mary Students’ Union (equivalent to an Officer Trusee at Imperial), Vice President Education Quality at Imperial Business School's DSAC, and now as a student member of Imperial’s University Council. I’m running to be a postgraduate non-faculty representative because I know how much difference it makes when students are listened to, and I’d like to make sure postgraduate voices are heard in the rooms where decisions happen.
