Electrical & Electronic Engineering (UG): Year One Academic Representative

Hello!

My name is Rana Gariballa, and I’m running to be first year academic representative for EEE.

As a (fellow) first year who is learning a lot of the content, from programming to DECA for the first time, I understand how it could feel quite challenging. My goal is to make our learning experience more engaging and smooth sailing, allowing everyone to be able to keep up with the work.

My aims are:

To ensure that adequate support is given especially in labs and programming sessions where a lot of people are doing it for the first time.
Make a teams chat where people can share their revision sources/notes, and others can access for extra support.
Create an anonymous form where students can send any questions or feedback they have about the teaching or content freely and confidently.

I wish to be the voice of every student, so if anyone has any feedback/questions, they can easily approach me and rely on me to convey the message onto staff and I will keep clear communication so that students are updated on any feedback raised.

There is no guarantee as to how successful I will be in implementing all these aims and it won’t be an immediate change, but you can be confident that I will put in a lot of effort so that I could deliver on what I promised to the best of my ability so that I could shape your first-year experience to be the best it could.
