Hi! I’m Ioan (Y2 Biology), and I’m running for RCSU Events Officer 🎉
I personally think its so cool that you can learn so many different people at Imperial! :) But sometimes it feels like we exist in our own little bubbles. I want RCSU events to be where those bubbles burst.
I will focus on three things:
1) Something beyond the usual stuff
Balls and nights out are great, but the calendar shouldn’t stop there. I'll introduce more varied events throughout the year: relaxed interdepartmental socials, game nights, creative events, low-pressure daytime activities etc. that are actually fun to go to.
2) Make intersociety collaboration the default
I'll make the RCSU work closer with departmental societies and other student groups. This is to make joint events that are bigger, more engaging and better funded than previous events.
3) You suggest it and we explore it
I’ll introduce a simple, straightforward RCSU Event Wishlist. This gives you an ongoing way to suggest events and vote on ideas you'll actually attend.
Thanks so much for reading 🧡Be sure to read everyone's manifestos.
