Hellooo! I’m Sally, and I’d love to (once again) be your Academic Representative!

This is what I did last year as your second year rep...

• Kept everyone as informed as possible throughout the teaching strikes: scribbled notes through many, many hours of meetings, collected your feedback through polls, and sent out impartial summaries always on the same day of meetings taking place, so that everyone could stay up to date.
• Raised concerns about the effectiveness of tutorials and suggested how they could be improved. The department is actively exploring changes in response to this feedback.
• Helped implement alternating seminar groups for the current Y2s, and pushed for more lab discussion and feedback.
• Hopefully was a helpful point of contact and was quick at getting back to messages :)

Year 3 is a big year with the new lab cycle structure and revised Y3 project structure. I sat through the meetings discussing both of these changes last year, so I’m already familiar with the discussions behind them and feel like I’m in a good position to pass on your feedback and explain changes.

I'd love to give you some continuity this year, and I'd be really happy to be your rep again! 😁
