Hello! My name is Tanishka and I would like to be your Academic Representative for this year!
I love education, advocacy and community service - and so I believe I can make a positive impact in this role. My previous experiences with leadership include serving as part of Student Government to over 500 students, organising my own biology-themed event at an Interschool fest, founding and running a cancer awareness campaign with a lifetime viewership of over 2 million, and serving as a youth advisor at multiple cancer care charities.
As a first year student at Imperial, I believe it is important for my peers and I to have the easiest transition into university life. Academics is a big part of that. If I am elected, I will advocate for the following:
- More past papers, practice exams, and worksheets being made available
- Clearer instructions for coursework requirements and assessments
- A more organised online learning infrastructure
- Open in-person doubt sessions (not just at the end of lectures!)
I am also looking forward to being someone my peers can trust to bring forth their opinions and concerns to, and ensuring that everyone can make the most of their time at university! Thank you for your vote!
