Céline Bourquin

Hi, I'm Celine, and I am part of the current ballet directors team. I had the chance to choreograph the intermediate team this year, and had an amazing time getting to see the dancers bring the ideas to reality.

In terms of general organisation, we’re a team of four dancers from the current advanced ballet team, Emilie, Ruotong, Mathilde and myself, running together for a "ballet director team" next year. We plan to take on the roles of advanced and intermediate choreographers while also running the weekly classes. With members having some experience in both committee and competition team, we feel confident that we have the organisation, knowledge, and enthusiasm to lead the ballet section.

Competing this year and placing at a competition was a huge confidence boost for all of us. It showed us how much potential our team has, and it made us really excited about what we could achieve next season.

We’d love to keep building on the strong advanced and intermediate teams while also looking for ways to grow ballet more widely. If schedules allow, we’re interested in introducing beginner classes to make ballet more accessible, as well as incorporating pointe work into classes and potentially on stage.

Most importantly, we’re all really excited about the opportunity to direct. We have lots of ideas for next season and want to create a positive, supportive, and fun environment where everyone can keep improving and enjoy dancing together.
