Musa Ali Sajjad
I am Musa Ali and I am running for chair.
I have been practicing calisthenics for years, and during my time in the society, I have often stepped up to organise and lead sessions when the President has been unavailable. This experience has shown me not only how much I enjoy being involved, but also how much more this society is capable of becoming.
I genuinely believe calisthenics has the potential to be one of the best, if not the best, societies at Imperial. However, we are not there yet. That is exactly why I am running. I want to help take this society to the level I know it can reach.
If elected, I want to actively grow the society. This includes collaborating with other universities to expand our network, organising competitions to build a stronger and more motivated community, and securing an indoor training space so sessions can run consistently regardless of weather. Alongside this, I want to increase our visibility across the university so that more people know who we are and what we offer.
Equally important to me is the social side of the society. I want to build a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable, included, and motivated. A place where people are not only training together, but also forming genuine, long-lasting friendships.
My goal: to maximise the society’s potential and build something that members are genuinely proud to be part of.
I cannot do this alone, and I would really value your support.
