Sayanen Sawmynaden

Hi, I am Sayanen, a second year medic! I hope to be the future Neuroscience lead as I have a keen interest in neuro and hope to spread my passion for the domain with others. Having worked as part of the subcommittee for the teaching series this year and working with Surgical Society to gather speakers for Specialties Spotlight, I have a lot of experience with academic societies which aim to improve student understanding of specialties within medicine.

I aim to expand the role of neuroscience lead by introducing a research aspect where I will be able to strengthen our connections with neurologists and neuroscientists to support research opportunities for students to get involved in. Similar to PsychStart, I also aim to work on building a mentorship programme where students can learn more about the roles of neurologists and neuroscientists.

I hope to really make a difference to student life through Neuro Society!
