Hi! My name is Finn and I would love to be your beginners' representative next year! I grew up in Germany but I am half Portuguese, half English, so I can speak quite a few languages. I learnt to surf in Sagres, Portugal (that's me on the left in the photo), and am still in the process of learning. I know exactly how tough it can be to get into surfing and I would love to help other beginners navigate that. I am very keen to get more into the society as well, AND integrate them and get them to stay. I have a couple ideas on how to do this:

- Dedicated events targeted at beginners specifically in the critical first few weeks of term

- A more distinct social media presence inviting those new to surf to join

- Post-surf trip meetups to have continuity and keep the friendships made
