Muslim Medics: Phase 1 Mock Lead

I would love the opportunity to join Muslim Medics because it's one of the most supportive and valuable societies. Over the past three years, I have seen how the society helps students academically, socially, and personally. I am interested in the role of Phase 1 Mock Lead because I am passionate about teaching and supporting students. For five years, I have worked as a GCSE and A-level Maths tutor, teaching students individually and in groups. This role has involved planning lessons, organising revision sessions, creating practice materials, monitoring progress, and building confidence. Being involved in organising and running mock examinations has given me experience coordinating students, managing logistics, and ensuring assessments run smoothly.

Having completed Phase 1, I understand how valuable CPA and OSCE mocks are. They allow students to practice under exam conditions, identify gaps in their knowledge, and become familiar with clinical assessments. I understand the role of Mock Lead involves organising high-quality mocks, coordinating volunteers and examiners, ensuring stations are realistic and well structured, and creating a supportive environment that maximises learning.

If elected, I would aim to organise realistic, accessible mocks, ensuring students gain meaningful practice and constructive feedback. I will work closely with committee to ensure sessions are well planned and run efficiently. I would like to expand opportunities for practice and ensure students feel supported. Through my teaching experience, organisational skills, and understanding of Phase 1 challenges, I believe I can make a positive contribution to the committee and help deliver valuable mock examinations.
