Zainab and Hiba are running for 5/6 Coordinators!

Over the past two years, we have both gained extensive first-hand experience supporting Muslim Medics mocks. We have developed a strong understanding of the organisation, teamwork, and careful planning required to deliver high-quality mocks that are genuinely useful for students.

This year, Zainab was Phase One Mock Lead, where she planned two large-scale mocks. This involved organising, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth running of the day itself. These mocks received positive feedback from both students and ICSMSU. Alongside this, Zainab also supported Mock Finals and PACES.

Hiba contributed to Mock OSCE this year, helping to ensure timings, logistics, and delivery ran smoothly on the day. She was also Vice President of DermSoc, where she led the organisation of a multi-university London Dermatology Conference. This involved coordinating clinicians and speakers, sourcing surgical equipment, and overseeing event logistics for Imperial. Through this role, she developed strong leadership, organisational, and event-management skills.

Last year, we were both part of MM committee and actively supported Mock Finals, PACES, and CPA. These experiences have given us valuable insight into what makes mocks well-organised and beneficial for students.

If elected, we hope to build on the existing PACES and Finals support by introducing more written exam preparation for Year 5 and Final Year students - including tutorials, crash courses, mock papers, questions banks and revision sessions. We would also love to introduce more talks on securing electives in specialties of interest, gaining clinical experience, and preparing for future work.
