Anthony Ng

Hey Guys! My name is Anthony and I'm a second year medical student. I am excited to nominate myself as your Salsa team captain! Being completely honest I started off my dance journey with Bachata, competing alongside the bachata and open level team at Birmingham and Reading. However, after starting salsa a few months later and realizing how fun it was, I slowly started to learn more and more about it. The variation of salsa is what makes me love it so much: from afro-cuban styles, to big man Lewis' mambo style, and even fusion with other dance styles such as hip hop. Going down this rabbit hole, learning all about it and trying to incorporate it into one's own expression of salsa is something I hope to improve upon and promote. Having competed and gotten experience training as part of a team gives me the experience I need when it comes to building team spirit and putting on a good performance. The possibilities of salsa are endless, so hopefully you can feel my endless enthusiasm for salsa through this manifesto :) That's all! Please VOTE FOR ANTHONY as your salsa team captain!
