Neha Doddaka

Hello everyone! I’m Neha, a second-year medical student. I’ve really enjoyed volunteering with Teddy Bear Hospital this year and would love to be equipment officer next year.

My organisational skills would make me a good fit for this role; in school I was vice-chair of the pupil council, co-chair of the biomedical society and also a sergeant in the RAF cadets so I have experience organising resources and maintaining equipment.

In this role, I aim to:

• ensure that any damage is reported quickly and either repaired or replaced in good time, to maintain the quality of the visits
• be proactive and look into replacing or upgrading equipment
• collaborate with my colleague to keep an up-to-date record of all the equipment
• work with the other committee members to source equipment for new stations

As a volunteer, I have seen first-hand how instrumental Teddy Bear Hospital is in educating young kids about health in a fun way! Therefore, I would love to help keep this going as one of your new equipment officers for the coming year :D
