Yin Liang

Hi everyone, I am Liang Yin, but you may know me as Simon! I have been attending Krav for one year, but I certainly enjoyed every session and learnt a lot along the way. I believe that Krav is a great society to learn how to protect ourselves (especially useful in tricky situations) and I would like to run for Treasurer to help make Krav even better.

As treasurer, I would ensure responsible management of fees so that members can benefit the most from the society, and improve equipment availability. One issue I would address would be the case of knife shortages, where I will ensure that every member gets a plastic knife for defence practice (and for the joy of pretending to stab each other).

I would also arrange for more socials within Imperial Krav and with other societies within and out of Imperial. A knife social with UCL sounds like great fun, and collaboration with societies like taekwondo and wushu would certainly make self-defence FUN and ENRICHING. I would also look into funding opportunities without putting extra costs on members.
