Hi, I’m Sabrina, a first-year Geophysics student, and I want to be your next Tour Officer.
University is about more than lectures, it’s about the experiences, connections, and opportunities we gain outside the lecture hall. As Tour Officer, I want to organise trips that are engaging, educational, and memorable, giving students the chance to explore how the concepts we study are applied in the real world, beyond the existing field trips.
My goal is to arrange a tours that appeal to a wide range of interests within geophysics and related fields. This would allow students to gain practical insight into industry, research, and explore the diverse career paths available to us. I want the tour to be an opportunity to learn something new, meet new people, and create lasting memories.
Accessibility is a key priority for me. I will work to ensure that tours remain affordable and cost-effective so that as many students as possible can take part. I also want to create experiences that help strengthen connections between year groups, encouraging students to build friendships, share advice, and develop a stronger sense of community within the department.
I believe I am well suited to this role because I am organised, approachable, and a strong communicator. I am confident in coordinating with venues, transport providers, and students to ensure trips run smoothly and everyone stays informed throughout the process.
Together, we can create exciting opportunities, build stronger connections, and take our learning beyond G41.
