Hello, I'm Lucy and I'm running to be your president next year!

Dance has been a big part of my university life since I was a fresher and I believe that with my experience in several committee roles I have adequate insight to provide support to several key parts of the society. With my time as social secretary and academic officer, I've learnt how to communicate with committee members both within the society and externally. Although I lack some insight into the financial aspect of the society, I'm sure that with dedication and support I will be able to take this aspect head on!

I don't have any particularly big plans for next year, mainly just to keep things running as they are. Our socials are a core part to retaining members so (as a former social sec!) I'd like to focus on improving our selection of socials to make sure it's a chance for everyone to meet up every few weeks and get together! I also want to work together with the other committee members, especially the dance captain, to make sure that everything is organised for comp and that our comp classes and rehearsals will be as orderly as possible. Most of all, I want to work together with our members to make ICSM Dance a more inclusive and friendly place! I'd love to talk about any suggestions for plans that anyone would have to improve our society!
