Let's be honest - this year the socials just haven't been frequent enough. We've had a few good nights, but too many weeks went by with nothing in the calendar and a group chat that went quiet. A golf society should be just as much about what happens off the course as on it, and right now we're not living up to that.

I'm running to fix exactly that.

My promise is simple: more socials, more regularly. No more month-long gaps. I'll lock in a proper rhythm so everyone always knows when the next one is and has something to look forward to.

Here's what I'll bring:

• Regular fixtures - a recurring social slot every couple of weeks, not whenever someone remembers to organise one.
• Variety - not just the same pub every time. Think socials, meals out, tournaments with a social twist, and the big nights out done properly.
• Inclusivity - events that work for everyone, whether you're a scratch golfer or you've only just picked up a club. Nobody left out.
• Actual organisation - dates announced early, plans that don't fall through, and a group chat that's actually buzzing.

I love this society and I want it to feel like one all year round, not just on match days. Give me the role and I'll make sure there's always something in the diary.
