Jahnavi Giridhar

Vanakkam! I'm Jahnavi, and I am running to be your Head of Subcommittee for 2026-2027.

Having been part of the society and subcommitee this year, l've loved the many events and activities, like Meet & Greet, the 4 O'Clock Club, Sponsorship Hunt, the subcommittee-led games night, and performing at Mega Maalai.

Through all of these, I found a community that welcomed me with open arms when I joined, and as your next Head of Subcommittee, I want the freshers next year to experience the same warm and vibrant community we are all a part of in TSoc.

So why vote for me?

• Experience with supporting students: From school and college as a student mentor and prefect, to now at university as an advisor for prospective students, I have been involved in student management and pastoral support for a long time, so I am ready to support and help the new subcommittee members.
• Strong teamwork, leadership and communication: Having been part of and led successful teams in national competitions and school societies, I have developed the skills needed to effectively lead and manage the next subcommittee.

What I'll bring to the role

• More meet-ups: Casual hang-outs throughout the year, like picnics, cinema trips and attraction visits, to build a stronger subcommittee community
• Integration of subcommittee into the wider commmittee: Subcommittee can get chances to assist the main committee, to understand more about the roles and gain experience for main committee roles!
