Konrad Holubinski
Hi, my name is Konrad, and I’m a first year student running to be your newsletter editor. I’ve had previous and ongoing experience with writing, including running my own blog for nearly three years, and contributing to Felix this year. I’m also a member of the Imperial Writers’ Society, and I’ve had a lifelong passion with writing and editing which I will carry over into being your newsletter editor, if elected. Whenever I'm not at uni studying, I'm often writing a novel or blogpost, along with all the research and proofreading that comes with it. Otherwise, I also have a keen interest in reading and making music.
From all that writing experience, I'm aware of the time and effort you need to put in to perfect your writing and make it stand out, while also remaining informative and understandable to a wider audience. Indeed, I'm willing to put the readers at the forefront, considering any feedback I get to ensure the newsletter works for everyone.
If elected, I will be looking to expand how many newsletters are written throughout the year, since right now it feels like the outreach of the newsletter is limited compared to what it could be. I am willing to put in the hours necessary to compile a newsletter that is helpful to fellow Chemsoc members, informing members of future career events and how we can get involved with the society.
Here's to a great second year, and a great newsletter!
