Light Opera (ICSM): President
Dear Opera, I am humbly asking for your consideration in voting me in as Opera president for next year. I launched myself into Opera the moment I got into Uni and it’s safe to say it’s provided me with all my best memories these past 4 years . I would love to keep the amazing culture of Opera alive and pass it down to the next generation.
Experience:
. I have had my grubby mitts in everything Opera does across the year within the last three years (MoE, Main Director, 24 Director, UH Revue Coordinator) so I know when everything needs to be prepared.
. Got us not definite last in UH Revue for the first time since we restarted. Upgrades people, upgrades!
. Experience handling purchase orders, claims and working externally (Opera + Ents STFYD 2026)
This year has brought some amazing changes to keep up and expand on:
.Bursary for our biggest social events keeping Opera as accessible as possible.
. Working with 24 team to secure SAF again and for the foreseeable
. Mixing up chill Glennister Big Chills and true BIG chills (with support)
. Operagavenny (A pre-year social before we welcome freshers!)
My priority is going to be maintaining everything we do as opera, supporting committee and putting out any fires that come up e.g. Union changing systems
Ideas:
. Comedy night social (to gather outer interest and ideas for UH)
. Workshops
