MNight is one of ICUMS’ most meaningful traditions, bringing people together through creativity, teamwork, and shared pride. It creates lasting friendships, memorable experiences, and a strong sense of community. As Vice President, I hope to help preserve and strengthen this legacy by ensuring MNight remains an event that members enjoy, feel proud of, and look back on fondly.
My focus will be on leading the committee through clear communication, strong coordination, and proactive planning. Regular check-ins with division heads, centralised communication channels, and early logistical preparations, such as venue bookings and scheduling, will help maintain steady progress and reduce last-minute pressure. Being mindful of academic commitments will also help teams balance responsibilities sustainably.
To increase attendance, I would like to start publicity earlier through consistent social media engagement, teasers, and interactive content. I would also explore sponsor-supported incentives, raffles, and division-based initiatives to encourage performers to invite friends and expand our audience.
Beyond operations, I will support the President by staying informed on committee matters, providing input where needed, and stepping in whenever necessary. I aim to lead with humility, openness, and a collaborative mindset, contributing my communication, teamwork, and organisational skills to help deliver a successful MNight and a positive experience for everyone involved.
