Hi everyone! I'm Aymen, a first-year Molecular Bioengineering student
I'm running for Women in Trading Head of Events because trading shouldn't feel exclusive. I want to create a platform where every women at Imperial can find her edge, whether she’s a complete beginner or already preparing for Flow Traders interviews. As someone who's competed in startup hackathons, coordinated large-scale community events, and managed 200+ volunteers and team of 50 executives, I know how to run rooms, keep people engaged, and make things actually happen. My vision includes:
- WIT TRADING BOOTCAMP
- A dedicated beginner-friendly bootcamp series tailored for women entering quant finance: demystifying options, algos, and interview prep in a supportive cohort.
- FIRM VISIT PROGRAMME
- Arrange exclusive women-focused insight days and office visits at firms like IMC, Flow Traders and Deutsche Bank: turning introductions into real opportunities.
- WIT ALGO CHALLENGE
- Host an internal women's trading competition with mentoring from senior AlgoSoc members: a feeder track into the main Algothon.
- SPEAKER & NETWORKING NIGHTS
- Quarterly evenings with women working at top trading firms and quant funds: real stories, real contacts, real career uplift.
My background isn't traditional finance — it's bioengineering, healthcare management, and community building. I've run operations serving 2,000+ patients monthly, managed 200+ volunteers, and organised cross-institutional collaborations. I'll bring that same operational rigour and genuine community care to WiT events.
