Abbie Premakumar
I am excited to run for Charity Coordinator for the Imperial Medical Women’s Federation. Charitable initiatives are vital for supporting communities, raising awareness, and providing students with meaningful opportunities to make a difference. I would be proud to contribute to this mission and help expand the society’s impact.
Through my leadership and media experience, including Secretary and Senior Social Media Lead for the Institute of Medical Ethics, British Geriatrics Society Social Media Representative, and former media roles with the British Tamil Medical Association and National Medical Research Association, I have developed strong organisational, communication, and project management skills. These experiences have prepared me to coordinate initiatives, liaise with external organisations, and deliver campaigns that are both effective and engaging.
If elected, I would focus on:
-
Planning and coordinating charity events and campaigns that align with MWF’s mission.
-
Building relationships with partner organisations to maximise impact and support for charitable causes.
-
Promoting initiatives clearly to engage society members effectively.
-
Collecting feedback to continually refine and improve fundraising strategies.
I am committed to supporting MWF’s charitable work, ensuring events run smoothly, reach a wide audience, and make a tangible difference. I would be proud to bring my experience, energy, and organisational skills to the role of Charity Coordinator and help the society continue to create meaningful impact.
