Hello everyone, we're Akshara and Divya, and we are running to be your MWF Conference Co-chairs!

Working together on this year’s MWF Conferences, in both organisation and logistics, in combination with our familiarity with recruiting speakers, developing workshops, acquiring sponsorships and increasing outreach, we have the experience to make the conference a success.

Whilst maintaining the success of this year’s interactive panel, networking and Q&A sessions, as well as the diversity of speakers, we hope to bring further novel ideas to refine and expand the conference further.

Our Aims:

• Increase publicity and engagement: Increase earlier outreach and visibility for the conference, by defining specific publicity officers on subcommittee and creating a Y1 representative to encourage participation in their own year group to increase engagement.
• Promote collaboration with other societies: Collaborating with other societies, e.g. Femtech, when promoting ticket sales to improve outreach and involvement, as our target populations overlap.
• Create a Mentorship Scheme: Having considered the possibility of introducing a mentorship scheme this year, we hope to bring this plan to fruition and foster a collaborative environment where students will be paired with professionals to gain further insight and advice about their careers.

With our combined experiences, we possess the skills and qualities necessary to make this conference a success. We would love the opportunity to create an inspiring and inclusive conference helping students navigate the medical, surgical and research fields, and we would love your vote!
