Who am I?
- First-year chem eng
- From 🇰🇷🇮🇪
- I like basketball, movies, playing guitar, and hiking.
Why am I running?
I decided to run for the committee after going to my first Market Matters. It was wide-ranging, fast-paced, and detailed; everything finance is about.
As STEM students, we have a competitive advantage. I want to expand interest in finance and what it really entails. It isn't just a buzzword for quarterzip-wearing Jordan Belforts, it's an industry that every professional should understand.
What do I propose?
More socials and collabs. Make Market Matters twice monthly. Interactive workshops once a month on different topics like fx and stocks.
FinSoc isn't full of money-hungry, ambitious LinkedIn warriors. Let's embrace the social aspect of a society and show that behind the scenes, it isn't as intense as it may seem.
And of course, let's outperform the fellas over at Investment Soc.
Why me?
I'm a first-year, not the most experienced guy. But I show up. That's it. If reliability, dedication, and transparency are what you need, I'm here.
What should you do next?
Read the other manifestos. Then vote (for me if you can)!
