Hello everyone,

My name is Melis, and I am a second-year Chemical Engineering student. Over the past year, serving as Finance Associate at ICFS has been an incredibly rewarding experience that has strengthened both my passion for finance and my commitment to this society. I am excited to announce my candidacy for Head of Business Development.

During my time as Finance Associate, I helped coordinate speaker sessions, networking events, and workshops, gaining valuable insight into how our society operates and what our members value most. Alongside this, my internship at an investment firm allowed me to analyse funds, venture capital projects, and investment portfolios while building relationships with investors and startup founders. These experiences have equipped me with the network, commercial awareness, and drive to elevate ICFS’s corporate presence.

If elected, I aim to:

- Expand Corporate Partnerships: Leverage my industry connections to build long-term strategic relationships with leading firms, unlocking funding and exclusive career opportunities for members.

- Increase Sponsorship Revenue: Develop targeted, high-impact sponsorship proposals to secure sustainable financial backing and support higher-quality events.

- Enhance Professional Development: Collaborate with corporate partners to organise workshops, networking events, and mentorship programmes that equip members with practical skills and insights.

I am passionate about using my technical background and hands-on finance experience to grow ICFS’s corporate network and create meaningful opportunities for every member. I would be honoured to have your support.
