Kiran Patel
Hi everyone! I’m Kiran, a first-year Economics, Finance & Data Science student, and I’m excited to be running for Associate at the Imperial College Finance Society.
Over the past year, I’ve actively developed my interest in finance through both my academics and practical experience. I currently work with Imperial Consulting Group, advising a private equity firm on European private credit markets, and contribute to a US markets newsletter analysing macroeconomic and equity market developments. I’ve also competed in investment competitions, placing 3rd out of 30+ teams in Imperial’s Stock Pitch Competition and Top 50 nationally in the 2025 UK Investment Competition. These experiences have shown me how valuable societies like Finsoc are in helping students develop practical finance skills and connect with the industry.
If elected, I would aim to support ICFS by:
• Helping organise engaging events such as networking sessions, speaker panels and technical workshops.
• Strengthening industry engagement, connecting students with professionals across banking, asset management and other areas of finance.
• Encouraging participation, helping create an inclusive environment where students feel comfortable exploring careers in finance.
I’m enthusiastic, organised and keen to contribute to the continued growth of Finsoc.
