Nour Mehdi

Hey everyone! My name’s Nour, and I’m applying for Community and Outreach Vice Chair for Paediatrics Society.

Being on committee this year has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve seen firsthand how much impact our society can have — not just academically, but within the wider community.

I was especially inspired by our National Conference this year. Seeing the passion, innovation, and dedication within paediatrics really reinforced why I’m so interested in pursuing it as a future career. It reminded me that paediatrics isn’t just a specialty — it’s about advocacy, compassion, and making a difference early in a child’s life.

As Community and Outreach Vice Chair, I would love to:
• Strengthen our links with local schools and community groups
• Organise engaging outreach initiatives that promote child health awareness
• Encourage more student involvement in volunteering
• Help make our society more visible and impactful beyond university

I’m enthusiastic, committed, and genuinely passionate about paediatrics and community engagement.
