Lena Hamza

Hi everyone! I’m Lena and I would love to be Community and Outreach Vice Chair for Paediatric society. I have developed a real interest in Paeds this year both through attending conferences such as the ‘Milestones Matter’ conference and being a part of organising the ‘Meet the Paediatricians’ conference as a member of subcommittee. I would really love to continue being part of this society and taken on a bigger role next year. Having become a tutor this year, I have learnt that I really enjoy teaching and find it extremely rewarding and so I would love to be a part of initiatives like volunteering and teaching in schools, which I’m aware Paeds do. Through my various roles I have taken on this year, such as being on committee for an inter-university society, SIMA (Student Iraqi Medical Association) as charity officer, I have developed the organisational skills necessary to be an active committee member of Paediatric society, please vote for me!
