Hafsa Kifayat
Hi I’m Hafsa! I’m a second year medical student, and I’m excited to be running for Community & Outreach vice-chair! I am eager to get more involved in Paediatrics and work with all of the team to provide you all with lots of oppourtunities.
I’ve previously worked with organisations to help run events for my local community. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this, and being able to work with my local community was an amazing experience which taught me a lot. I’ve mentored and taught students in the past, and I’ve loved helping them, giving them advice and supporting them on their journeys. I have also volunteered at The Children’s Society, and supporting an organisation that supports children and young people is something that I have always wanted to do, and I would like to continue this through being a part of the Paediatrics team.
As vice chair, I would aim to actively help organise events and volunteering opportunities at different schools and hospitals, and work with charities to help a wide range of children. I would also like to help set up sessions and events to speak to children and young people to give advice about careers, especially those wanting to do Medicine. I believe that medicine should be accessible to everyone and I would love to be a part of making this happen!
I would love to be a part of this incredible team and I will work as hard as possible in supporting Paediatrics society
Thank you!
