I am thrilled to be a part of the Remote Medicine Society and am thrilled to apply for the role of Social Media Committee Member for 2026/7. Remote medicine is a dynamic, inspiring field, and I would love to help strengthen the society’s digital presence to reflect that energy, while increasing engagement across Imperial. As social media Officer I would produce clear, visually engaging, and educational content that showcases the breadth of remote medicine, including wilderness care, expedition health, pre-hospital medicine, humanitarian response, and telemedicine. I would also create structured content streams such as “Case of the Week,” expedition medicine spotlights, speaker highlights, and practical tips to maintain engagement throughout the year. I would use social media strategically to promote events, share learning and highlight opportunities such as electives, research, and placements. Collaborating closely with events and academic teams, I would ensure content aligns with the society’s broader goals and maintains a professional, credible identity.
In addition, I would explore interactive features such as polls, Q&A sessions with speakers, and short educational reels to encourage student participation. My aim would be to expand the society’s reach, strengthen its brand, and create an online platform that informs and inspires.
