Heya everyone, I’m Tansy and I’m a second year medic! I’ve been one of your Events Officers this year alongside Lucine and Asaavari and we've had SO much fun creating events for you all! :)
I think FemTech is awesome and handled many of the on-the-ground logistics during this year’s conference. I also co-created and facilitated workshops on menopause and health innovation skills for a pan-London Women in Medicine conference earlier this year. As Conf Chair, I would:
- Ensure the day spans topics from bench research on women’s health, to implementation in practice and policy and the nitty gritty of the market
- Explore increasing the variety of event types to ensure different types of experience and skills can be shared
- Focus on both the big picture and the small details to make sure attendees, presenters and committee feel even more cared for than they already are!
I have a notes page of the feedback received from this year’s company attendees and things I would individually add next year. These include giving presenters an itinerary, ensuring accessibility early, and delegating responsibility to specific comm members for different parts of the conference.
I’ve truly loved facilitating the FemTech community this year: above all, I would just love to craft a day for you where everyone who is passionate about women’s health and innovation can excite each other, spark new ideas, and have fun :)
