Edward Sandeman

Hi everyone!

I'm Edward Sandeman and I am in second year EEE. I want to be EESoc's Sport and Wellness Officer next year, because I believe in having a balanced lifestlye. Particularly during our hectic uni schedules and workload. This should not stop us from having fun and getting to know people in a healthy way!

I am the current CGCU Sports Officer so I believe I have the perfect experience for this role. This year I've organised casual tournaments for volleyball, basketball and football. Even though I don't think I'll replicate these events next year and scale them down to just EESoc, I believe this experience in organising such events will be useful for this role. I understand what works and what doesn't in sports events, so I can guarantee my events will run smoothly and everyone will enjoy themselves.

Of course this role is not just about sport. I will also plan events centred around wellness. I will work with the Wellbeing reps to see what it is that people want. We will work together to schedule these events during times that work for everyone and will help the most people during particularly stressful periods.

I am motivated for this role because I believe in the importance of taking care of ourselves so we can be happy and productive during our studies. If you share my vision please show your support by voting for me!
