Lucian Czerny

Hello IC Barbell Members,

I am Lucian and for those who don't know me here is a brief introduction and my background in powerlifting:

I'm a U74 (Eventually a U83) Powerlifter who has competed at 2025 Junior Worlds for Team Singapore and who has been actively powerlifting for 2 years. When I’m not on the platform, I’m a Material Science student with an endless rotation of side projects.

If elected Powerlifting Captain, my primary goal is to bring powerlifting equipment to Ethos for IC Barbell members. This starts with moving the Eleiko Competition Bar from Gymnation to Ethos. Beyond that, I will advocate for Ethos to match the standards of other London universities, such as KCL and UCL, by pushing for competition plates and combo racks.

By bringing Ethos up to standard, we reduce the need for external rentals at Gymnation, making frequent team sessions a reality. Powerlifting can be an isolating sport, so consistent team training is essential to bring up both form but also spirits.
