Imperial Cubing League: Chair

Hello Cubers,

I am Bochang and I'm running for chair of Cubing Society. I have been cubing for nearly eight years now, attending multiple WCA competitions across the world and competing weekly for Imperial in the UK Cubing League.

As chair of Cubing Society, my main goals are:

  1. Consistent weekly sessions. With a schedule published at the start of term, giving us dedicated time to meet new people, socialise, cube, and of course compete in the UK Universities Cubing League.
  2. Improve accessibility. Introduce a dedicated time during our weekly sessions as a cubing 'workshop' where we will be able to introduce cubing and help new and beginner cubers learn and improve their skills.
  3. More casual events. Expand the society to have more casual events such as designing and building cube mosaics, holding non-WCA events, and other fun cubing-related activities.
  4. Collaborate. Reach out and collaborate with other societies in Imperial and other cubing societies in London universities to hold cubing based events such as socials or tournaments.
  5. Competition trips. Organise WCA competition trips to nearby competitions that we could attend as a society.

I've had a brilliant time this year as a member of Cubing Society. As chair I will work to make it more consistent, welcoming, and enjoyable for all of our members.
