Bioscience Review: Secretary

Hi, I'm Sara, an incoming second-year biochemist, and I would love to be your Bioscience Review Secretary.

The Bioscience Review has so much potential, but right now, it appears that's where we're stuck.

I have a vision for the Bioscience Review to be more than a platform for articles, by acting as a hub for collaboration and curiosity, with all the resources you need to make it happen!

I have experience in leading Student Council and yearbook, and I've published a couple of bioscience reviews and research papers in competitive journals over the years. As a plus, I just really enjoy writing.

As your Secretary, I will establish (1) more workshops (!!!!) to build both science writing and editorial skills, (2) more transparency regarding timelines for submissions, editing, and publishing, and (3) increase communication between the leadership, editors, writers, and all other Bioscience Review members who aren't so sure how they can contribute.

Science writing is one of the most rewarding skills one can develop as a student. Bioscience Review should be more than just the journal; after all, it's a society! I fully believe we can make this society a place where students can refine their writing and communication skills.

Vote Sara as Secretary of Bioscience Review!
