Haematology Society: Treasurer

I’m really excited to be applying for the role of Treasurer for the Haematology Society. Being part of subcommittee this year and helping assist the Haematology conference has given me valuable insight into how much planning and coordination goes on behind the scenes, which has enhanced my motivation to take on a larger role within the society.

Through my experience in subcomittee, I got a chance to observe how sponsorships and budgeting are in delivering a high-quality event. This led me to grow an interest in wanting to learn and uphold a high standard of management of the finances.

If elected as Treasurer, I promise to:

Maintain clear, accurate, and transparent financial records
Budget carefully to ensure our events remain affordable and accessible
Work proactively to secure sponsorships and funding opportunities
Ensure funds are allocated effectively to maximise the quality of our events

I am organised, responsible, and approachable and I would love the opportunity to support our society in this role.
