Anya Gupta
Hi everyone!
I’m Anya Gupta, a first-year Biomedical Engineering student running for FemTech Secretary.
My interest in women’s health really began when I helped organise a fundraiser for period hygiene access in India. While working on it, I started learning more about how many women still lack access to basic menstrual products and education due to stigma and limited resources. That experience stayed with me and made me realise how important it is to talk more openly about women’s health and push for real solutions.
Since then, I’ve become really passionate about the intersection of healthcare, technology, and advocacy. Studying Biomedical Engineering constantly exposes me to how innovation can transform medicine, and FemTech represents exactly that space where technology can help address real healthcare gaps for women.
Even though I’m in my first year, I’m someone who throws myself fully into the things I care about. I’m genuinely excited by the work FemTech does, and I’d love to contribute by helping the society stay organised, connected, and growing.
As Secretary, I would focus on:
• Keeping the society running smoothly by managing communications, documents, and logistics.
• Supporting the committee so events and initiatives can run efficiently.
• Helping strengthen outreach through clear updates and newsletters so more students engage with FemTech.
FemTech is a society I truly believe in, and I’d love the opportunity to help it grow.
Thank you for reading — I’d really appreciate your vote!
