Oliver Ross

Hi, my name is Oli and I am a 2nd Yr biologist running for social captain. Those who have attended the social sessions this year may recognise me from always playing in a shirt and chinos.

I love playing badminton and helping people enjoy their time whilst at sessions, both on and off the court whether that be chatting, having a chill hit or more intense match, but always trying to have a laugh. I hope that people can use these sessions as a break from uni work, relax, socialise and maybe even improve at badminton.

I've been coming social sessions since 1st year and occassionally help out (especially with kicking IC off the courts and packing up), so I know my way well around both the Monday and Tuesday sessions. I have further experience with social sessions from setting up an after-school badminton club and running socials at my home club. I am also on the social team, so I've had some experience with matches and how they are run as well as organising competitions at my home club, meaning I'd be of great use for the social team next year (and would like to slightly change how players are chosen for each match).
