The Japanese Society has been an amazing community for me this year. I’ve made great friends, taken part in fun events, and enjoyed every moment. But beyond being a place for social connection, I believe the society can also play a key role in supporting our members’ professional growth.
As an international student, I understand how challenging it can be to find the right career opportunities in the UK. Many of us face questions about where to start, how to build networks, and how to access relevant information. That’s why I’m running for Career Officer — to make this process easier and more inclusive for everyone.
If elected, I will:
• Strengthen and maintain our existing links with Japanese and UK-based companies.
• Expand our network by reaching out to new organisations, alumni, and professionals.
• Organise events such as career talks, networking sessions, and skill workshops to provide real opportunities for students.
I’m motivated, reliable, and genuinely excited to contribute to the Japanese Society’s development next year. With your support, I’ll work hard to ensure our society is not only a place to enjoy Japanese culture but also a platform where every member can discover and pursue their future goals.
