Kaelyn Soh

Hello! I’m Kaelyn, your current Vice Chair and principal 1st violinist.

Over the past year, it has been a great honour to serve ICSO musically and organisationally. If re-elected, I would like to build further on what we’ve started this year to strengthen ICSO’s brand and community.

This includes

(1) further developing projects such as more established chamber music that expand our musical reach and help us forge bonds as a community. Too often our repertoire is limited to pieces decided by the committee and Oliver, and this would provide opportunities to play repertoire that you have chosen.

(2) establishing, or helping to facilitate avenues where members can give back to our community through fundraising or other outreach activities. Creating such activities would also expand our musical reach beyond the university, and foster a sense of purpose and community.

It is clear that ICSO is more than just an orchestra. It’s a thriving community of talented musicians who also know how to simply have a great time, and if elected, it would be an honour to take this to the next level with the committee.
