Hello, I'm Claire! 👋

I was super happy to serve on the committee as events officer this year, but thought I would try for a more remote-friendly role next year as I'm on a placement.

As events officer this year, my LinkedIn skills have been challenged by reaching out to speakers and sponsors. I'd love to translate my social media skill-set into promotion, letting members know about upcoming events and comprehensively covering recent events. I believe that our events could be even more far-reaching with a more planned promotional strategy, utilising our email list, LinkedIn, and posters around campus.

I've also become a Canva warrior over the past year doing media&publicity for Femtech, a very online-active society, which gave me a blueprint of how engaging we could make our own social media!

The comp-bio talks and panel I've attended this year were truly engaging, and inspired me to keep being involved in this field. Even if I dont make the committee, I'll enjoy seeing y'all at events next year 🩵.
