It’s my honor to be running for re-election as the ICUTKD’s WT Captain!

Having participated in local, USA National, and UK University-level competitions for the past fifteen years, I have experience as an athlete and coach for both WT Patterns and Sparring and won national medals in both events. As WT Captain, I have built upon my years teaching and coaching students of all ages and experience levels by:

• Leading full sessions and assisting coaches to deliver specialized training for competitions and grading

• Coordinating registration, training, and coaching for three competitions amidst uncertainty with organizers, increasing registrations and raising our 2025 Autumn Championships ranking to 4th from 9th the previous year

• Choreographing and organizing our first Welcome Fair demo

• Compiling online resources to improve accessibility for members hoping to compete in patterns and grade, and

• Working closely with coaches to provide additional structure for the club.

Next year, I hope to:

• Develop competition training to include mental preparation and reflection components to foster learning and growth

• Apply lessons from the training camp at Singapore to ICUTKD's training methods, and

• Work to further imbue our community with the spirit of taekwondo.

Next year, with your support and feedback on training, competition, and committee decisions, I hope to continue my work alongside the rest of the committee, growing ICUTKD as a competitive force and a community where all of our members feel safe to learn and thrive.
