Investment: Head of Buy-Side Corporate Relations (Duplicate)

Hi everyone! I’m Kiran, a first-year Economics, Finance & Data Science student. Over the past year, I’ve developed a strong interest in financial markets through both academic study and practical experience. Recently, my team placed 3rd out of 30+ teams in the Imperial Algorithmic Trading Society Stock Pitch Competition, where we presented to a JP Morgan trader. My team also finished 3rd in the university for the 2025 UK Investment Competition. Experiences like this have shown me the value of connecting students with professionals.

Imperial has many students interested in buy-side careers such as asset management, hedge funds, and private equity, but access to industry professionals and well-organised learning opportunities can make a significant difference. I want to help strengthen those connections.

If elected, my priorities will be:

1) Expanding buy-side partnerships with firms across asset management, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital to increase networking opportunities for members.
2)Hosting focused speaker events and panels where professionals share insights on investing, market analysis and career pathways.
3)Creating practical learning opportunities, including buy-side case competitions, investment workshops and collaboration with other universities and finance societies.
4)Strengthening alumni engagement to connect current students with Imperial graduates working across the buy-side.
