Hi everyone, I'm Ashley and I'm running for Treasurer because I want to help the society grow sustainably, support high‑quality academic events, and ensure our finances are managed responsibly and transparently. I care about creating opportunities for students to develop strong interests in Gastro as I have and I believe I can bring structure, reliability, and initiative to the committee.

Through my roles as Academic Officer for AMSA and Captain of the Imperial Futsal Club, I have gained practical experience handling society finances. I have worked on budgeting for events, allocating resources fairly, and submitting claims efficiently through Imperial’s financial systems. These roles have taught me how to plan ahead, keep clear records, and make decisions that balance ambition with financial responsibility. They have also strengthened my ability to work collaboratively within committees and communicate openly about spending priorities.

As Treasurer, one of my key aims would be to secure sponsorships to support the society’s academic programme. I want to build relationships with relevant organisations, approach potential sponsors proactively, and create funding opportunities that allow us to run high‑quality talks and workship without placing huge financial pressure on members.

I would be proud to support the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Society as Treasurer and help deliver an inclusive, well‑resourced, and engaging year for all members.
