Hi fellow frothers!
My name is Alberto, I started surfing in 2018 and lived in Cornwall last year. If elected for Tour Secretary, I would work on planning international trips, increasing the number and flexibility of mid-term trips, and plan mid-week activities so we can keep up with our surfing from London. If you like the sound of this, I'd love to get your support!
I'd keep up the great work to organise surf trips to amazing destinations such as the Canaries, Aveiro or Hossegor. These trips are a great opportunity to get on a board for the first time and also to improve your surfing, so I'd focus on picking places with great lessons and a variety of waves so everyone can have the best time.
As tour sec, I'd also be very excited to plan term-time trips, and try to make them more frequent, flexible and accessible. I'd explore ideas like trained club members driving minibuses (which we used to do when I was part of Glasgow Uni Surf), carpool and explore different Cornwall destinations.
Lastly, we all know living in London we are going to be spending longer periods out of the water, so I'd organise midweek surf activities such as surfskate, surfing movie screenings/theory lessons and surf training and yoga so we can scratch that surfing itch.
