Hello everyone!
I’m Yumna, a first-year geology student running for next year’s esoc events officer. I’ve really enjoyed the wednesday gardening sessions (well, the ones i managed to attend!). There’s something oddly nice about doing something simple and grounding in the middle of a hectic week.
Being part of esoc feels genuinely fulfilling. I love how it brings together all kinds of people, from those who just want to garden (me), to plant and creature enthusiasts, to the monday campaign changemakers (huge respect). Despite our different interests, everyone is always welcoming and kind. even just receiving Julia’s newsletters and seeing how many things esoc is doing excites me. I want to be part of the team that makes those events happen, and make sure incoming first years feel as welcomed as I did.

- Co-founder & Secretary of Panoramind (youth education initiative volunteering in underprivileged schools)

- Youth Red Cross - Head of Human Resources (coordinated weekly first-aid training)
