Kethareni Ravindran
Hey everyone! I’m Kethareni and I’m a third-year medical student. I’m really excited to be running for President of the Endocrinology Society!
I’ve had a strong interest in endocrinology since first year, especially after really enjoying the teaching. I attended this year’s endo soc conference and loved the range of speakers and topics covered - from common conditions we see regularly to more specialised and research-focused areas. It was inspiring to hear about the different career paths and ongoing work in the field.
As President, I will work alongside my co-president and committee to make the society friendly, engaging, and useful for all students. I’d love to continue building on our amazing annual conference while introducing initiatives like revision sessions, exam resources, interactive workshops, career-focused talks, and opportunities to connect with clinicians and researchers. I’ll make sure the society reflects what students want by listening to feedback and tailoring events accordingly.
As Publicity Officer for the Clinical Genetics Society, I’ve gained experience in event promotion and engaging an audience. Working with the committee to get feedback and improve posts has strengthened my communication, collaboration and organisation skills.
I enjoy taking on new challenges and I’m determined to help keep the society well-organised, running smoothly, and inspiring for everyone. I’m passionate about endocrinology and would love to share that enthusiasm with you all. Thank you for reading and I hope you’ll vote for me!
