Hi everyone, I’m Thomas, and I’m running for Events Officer.
Over the past year, I’ve been involved in ICSS’s project SVAROG and committee. As the club’s Secretary, I’ve supported Lodestar Hackathon planning, worked on promotional material, and am currently contributing to sponsorship outreach. At the same time, I’ve been part of Project SVAROG within STRUM, working on improving the CubeSat’s structure and contributing to the development of composite components.
If elected, I want to create more events that bring the four main project teams together. Space Society is structured around different streams, but we do not always have enough opportunities to engage across them. I want to organise technical showcases and cross-team lectures so members can better understand what others are building and learn together as one. Alongside better planning and coordination, I want to broaden the range of events we run, reaching out for more sponsor talks and community meetups.
ICSS has been a huge part of my year, and I want to help reflect the quality of work happening within it.
